TRIPLOOO is a prototype of a solar-powered electric motor vehicle
which can be classifiable in the category of light motorized vehicles.
TRIPLOOO is a vehicle conceived for transporting people and things in an urban environment.
TRIPLOOO is also a mobile system of high electrical technology that allows optimal energy management.

Human centered design
With a design inspired by the emblematic spinner, TRIPLOOO is the prototype of a three-wheeled vehicle: two directional front wheels and a driving rear wheel. Its floor, chassis, bodywork are made of aluminum and other lightweight composite materials.
The weight under 300 kg, without passengers and cargo, and the small size make TRIPLOOO a vehicle
- agile to travel in urban roads
- easy to park in tight parking spots or in spaces dedicated to mopeds and motorcycles.
TRIPLOOO is built to comfortably accommodate two passengers and it is equipped with a luggage compartment.
The Smart Grid system:
the advantage of always

TRIPLOOO has a 220 V AC onboard charging system that allows to power the vehicle from a home power net or from a power tower.
The integrated solar charging system on TRIPLOOO is realized through the widespread surface of photovoltaic panels arranged on the upper part of the body, on the windshield, on the dashboard and inside the passenger compartment.
TRIPLOOO is also equipped with the Smart Grid management system connecting the battery to a modern storage system for the photovoltaic system: TRIPLOOO can thus store and exchange energy in a programmable way by the user, providing the vehicle with a stock energy reserve.
The electricity, which is accumulated and supplied by the production of the photovoltaic system installed onboard, is in fact added to the one the fixed system produces.
The system thus conceived also allows to use electricity in full safety, by coping with sudden peaks that could overload the system.
The battery: a heart that never warms up
TRIPLOOO works with a high efficiency Brushless electric traction motor with 4 kW power.
The battery, positioned in the lower central part of the vehicle, helps to increase the stability of TRIPLOOO on the road.
The innovative temperature control system, which permits the battery to operate in a controlled temperature range and below 30° C, determines the high efficiency of TRIPLOOO.
Chosen smart materials and an intelligent arrangement of the cells allow stemming the temperature increase in the battery in any climatic condition.
The battery system, that is the heart of the TRIPLOOO, is well protected from shocks and collisions thanks to a steel case housing the cells.
The temperature control system is managed by the BMS - Battery Management System - that monitors the life parameters of the battery.

The construction features and the tests conducted on the prototype allow to state that TRIPLOOO can travel 1 km consuming only 7.5 W *, on an urban context, with an average distance of 15 km/day and with a speed between 45 km/hour and 50 km/hour -even if the vehicle can easily reach 65 km/hour.
Its power consumption from the fixed electricity net is therefore around 40 kW per year, equal to a cost below twenty euros per year.
In addition to that, TRIPLOOO is completely recharged from the 220 V AC mains in about 4 hours, reaching an autonomy of about 120 km.
This figure can be increased by 30%, thanks to the solar recharging system: TRIPLOOO can achieve a range of approximately 160 km, therefore allowing people to travel free for at least 40 km!
